Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) Entry Requirements 2026

To ensure a smooth entry into Malaysia, all foreign travelers must comply with the latest immigration regulations. Since January 1st, 2024, the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) has become a mandatory requirement for most international visitors.


1. Who is required to complete the MDAC?

Every foreign national traveling to Malaysia is required to submit their MDAC before arrival, with the exception of:

  • Citizens of Singapore.
  • Diplomatic Passport holders.
  • Malaysian Permanent Residents and Long-Term Pass holders.
  • Brunei Common Certificates of Identification holders.

2. Submission Timeline (The 3-Day Rule)

The MDAC must be completed and submitted within three (3) days prior to your arrival in Malaysia.

Example: If you are arriving on a Thursday, you should submit your application starting from Tuesday. Submissions made earlier than 3 days will not be accepted by the immigration system.

3. Mandatory Documents & Information

4. At the Immigration Counter

  1. Your valid passport.
